Course Design: Situated Learning Based on Interactive Storytelling Serious Game
This course will based on a serious game - "For Crown or Colony? " The goal of using this game is to provide students with an immersive learning environment to experience history and learn history.
Overview
Although the reason for using "For Crown or Colony? "is to provide a situated learning environment, the games selected do not necessarily reflect the complex situations learners may encounter in the real world. Therefore, the core is actually to create opportunities for students to interact with stories through the game and to help them build a mental model of the content, making it easier to understand and remember.

Activity Principles
This course design is the use of the Multimedia Principle, which uses relevant images to enhance the information conveyed. Second, it also uses the Feedback Principle. At the end of the course, I will provide a feedback activity/assignment to prompt reflection.

Instruction Process
1. Introduction (10 minutes)
Introduction the basic history knowledge of the current part.
2. Play Game (15-20 minutes)
Playing the game while thinking about the provided questions.
3. Vocabulary Learning (10 minutes)
Discuss and guess key vocabulary.
4. Assignments(5 minutes)
Assign homework.
